My view of Standard Bank overall is excellent; but when it comes down to month ends, and the Banks are packed with people wanting to get their deposits in on time, refreshments do not matter at all to anyone! I just hope in future we could resolve this problem, please!

Personally I'd prefer not to have to wait at all. If Standard Bank start making coffee available, especially if you pay for it, they'll feel less like helping you in a hurry. The same thing applies to the LCD TVs that they have put in the branches.
They were put there to stop you from feeling so bad about having to wait so long.
Rather spend the money on a few more staff in each branch to keep the backlog clear.
